Club Coalicion Pinolera Santiago Papasquiaro Benefit
Beacon Business Bank was a proud supporter of a dinner dance event held recently in San Bruno to benefit Club Coalicion, a non-profit foundation that provides aid to the community of Santiago Papasquiaro in Durango, Mexico. The organization helps low-income families and individuals dealing with diabetes.
Beacon’s CEO & President, John Delaney and San Mateo Branch Manager, Amir Zahendani represented the Bank.
Beacon's Senior Note Department Specialist, Maria Nevarez who is a member of Club Coalicion and helped organize the event. Club Coalicion is headquartered in San Jose, and also supports educational opportunities in Durango.
Burlingame On The Avenue
Business Bank was a participating sponsor and partnered with the Burlingame Rotary in the 27th Annual Burlingame On the Avenue on Sunday, August 17, 2019. The community event, sponsored by the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce featured music by some of the Bay Area's best Jazz, Rock and Blues bands.
Beacon employees helped staff a booth that served beverages. Tips from the beverage sales were donated to the Burlingame Rotary Service Fund that provides college scholarships to Burlingame students.

2019 San Mateo County 7th Annual Pride Festival
San Mateo vice president/branch manager Amir Zahedani greeted participants at the seventh annual LGBT + Pride Day celebration held at Central Park in San Mateo.
The day included music, live entertainment, crafts, children's activities, a teen space and food trucks for the more than 200 participants.
Zahedani, a graduate of San Mateo’s Hillsdale High School, is also a member of the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce and is active with Junior Achievement of the Bay Area and the LGBTQ center in San Francisco.
“LGBTQ Pride Day is an extremely important cultural and community event,” he said. “At Beacon, we are proud to be involved in our community.”
Beacon Business Bank has been a co-sponsor of the event for the past two years.
